Learners engage in road safety debate

 

Upington - A total of 50 high schools from all the districts took part in the provincial knockout round of the National Road Safety Debate Competition in Upington recently. Each team during the exciting battle-out was made up of five learners.

 

10 learners from various districts emerged victorious during the two days competition and they will represent the province at the national level in the same competition which will take place on October 4 in Polokwane.

 

The debate was divided into two categories, namely urban and rural schools, learners who will represent the province in the urban category are:

The competition has been running for five consecutive years, its main objective is to promote road safety awareness amongst young people in the country.
