NSC Exams concluded successfully

The National Senior Certificate (NSC) Examinations concluded yesterday with 13658 candidates that sat for what were their final and most important examination. With no major incidents or any hiccups experienced in all 136 Examination Centres, we are satisfied with the manner in which it was administered.

It has once again proved that the Northern Cape Department of Education adhered to the norms and standards of the NSC Examinations. The marking of the NSC Examination papers will commence on 1 December 2016 and will be concluded on 15 December 2016. Three (3) marking centres will be used for the marking process.

The Northern Cape Department of Education has employed 895 markers after a thorough selection process to ensure that the quality marking of answer scripts will take place. The Provincial Matric results will be announced on Thursday, 5 January 2017 through a press conference and be followed by the Northern Cape Matric Awards in Kimberley.

The Department took all efforts to affect quality marking to ensure that the matric results are credible and a true reflection of the candidates achievements.

End.
