NSC Provincial Pledge Signing Ceremony
The Northern Cape Department of Education will host its District Pledge Signing Ceremonies on Friday, 11 October 2019, throughout the whole Province. This an important occasion, where all Grade 12 learners will undertake a pledge for a National Senior Certificate Examination (NSC), free of any irregularities.
The Northern Cape Department of Education continues to improve appropriate standards and strengthen initiatives to deepen the maturity of the Examination Assessment system. We have continued to identify and curb threats to mitigate the Examination and Assessment’s credibility.
On this day, the Premier of the Northern Cape, Dr Zamani Saul will also officiate the Provincial Pledge Signing Ceremony. The rationale for the pledge is to assist with the curbing and control of examination irregularities and is an attempt to adopt a more proactive rather than a reactive approach to the reduction of examination irregularities.
