MEC MAC JACK TO ANNOUNCE 2019 MATRIC RESULTS

The MEC for Education, Mac Jack will announce the 2019 Matric results on 8 January 2020 in Kimberley. This will be during a press briefing that will be held at the MEC’s Office and will immediately be followed by the Matric Awards ceremony to acknowledge the province’s top performing learners.

A total of 11512 full time candidates were registered for the NSC examinations. We commend all the learners, parents, principals, invigilators and all the departmental staff for invaluable support and commitment to ensure a credible NSC examinations, free of any irregularities.

A technical report of the overall performance per district and per school will also be made available.

The Department is also pleased with the completion of the marking process. A total of 169 019 answer scripts needed to be marked by 774 Markers, 157 Senior Markers, 22 Deputy Chief Markers, 65 Chief Markers, 65 Internal Moderators and 150 Examination Assistants.
