History Subject Consultative Meeting
The Northern Cape Department of Education, Curriculum Chief Directorate today played host to the Ministerial Task Team from the the National Department of Basic Education for the history subject consultative meeting.
This consultative session took place at the Northern Cape High School in Kimberley, the main objective of the engagement was to discuss the newly drafted history Curriculum coverage from grade 4-12.
The first round of consultations is at the Cape's provinces, meaning it's the host, Western Cape and the Eastern Cape, this engagements are anticipated to roll-out at the remaining 6 provinces.
As part of the consultations, DBE invited important stakeholders, history organisations, museums, heritage sites observers and higher learning institutions.
