GRADE 12 PLEDGE SIGNING CEREMONY
The Northern Cape Department of Education will hosted its 2023 National Senior Certificate Examination Pledge Signing Ceremonies on Friday, 20 October 2023, throughout the whole Province. This is an important occasion, where all Grade 12 learners will undertook a pledge for a National Senior Certificate Examination (NSC), free of any irregularities.
The Northern Cape Department of Education continues to improve appropriate standards and strengthen initiatives to deepen the maturity of the Examination Assessment system. We have continued to identify and curb threats to mitigate the Examination and Assessment’s credibility.
On this day, MEC Zolile Monakali officiated the Provincial Pledge Signing Ceremony. The rationale for making the pledge is to promote ethics, ensure fairness, maintain credibility, encourage responsibility, and foster trust in the 2023 NSC Examinations. It serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of upholding integrity and striving for excellence in the education system.
