The Frances Baard district held its National Teaching awards at the Horseshoe motel in Kimberley.

 

The NTA’s are there to acknowledge excellence in the teaching and learning fraternity, furthermore, focusing on the teacher development and innovative ideas.

 

These are the teachers who look into their average learners and see excellence, and the impact that which they would bring into the community.

 

In welcoming the recipients, Dr Manoeli-Thulo said that teaching is a calling that needs a qualification but is however the

least appreciated and recognised,given it's challenges ranging from poor infrastructure to family nucleus that a teacher needs to manage.
