INTER-PROVINCIAL RURAL EDUCATION COMMITTEE (IPREC) MEETING 

The Department of Basic Education is hosting a two day Inter-Provincial Rural Education Committee meeting in Kimberley, Northern Cape, at the Protea Hotel where officials from all the 9 provinces will gather.

Education is a societal issue that remains our top priority, the IPREC meeting is aimed at reflecting on the deliverables of the Education Sector so that they align  with the  priorities of the 7th administration ,which is to ensure access to quality education ,Early Childhood Development centers and new innovations to improve the standard of education in the rural areas.

In the bid to achieve better quality education provinces are encouraged to engage with private partnership to assist especially with funding of their programs. The rural education policy allows all the learners the equal opportunity of quality education irrespective of their location of origin.
