Congratulations to our National Teaching Awards participants!

The Northern Cape Department of Education congratulates our participants at the National Teaching Awards, in particularly Ms. Melissa Du Plessis and Ms. Conchitta Grasveld.

Ms. Melissa Du Plessis an educator at the Douglas Combined School competed in the category, Excellence in Grade R Teaching and obtained the 1st position nationally.

Ms. Conchitta Grasveld an educator at the Namakwaland High School in Springbok competed in the category, Excellence in Teaching Mathematics (FET) and obtained the 3rd position nationally.

We are proud of their sterling achievement and being recognised at a national level in the irrespective categories. Their hard work, sacrifices and dedication towards the noble cause of Education are acknowledged and appreciated at a national level. We further hope that their achievement serves as an inspiration to many of their fellow educators in the Province. Excellence in Education is of paramount importance to achieve quality public education in all our schools.
