KATHU SOLAR PARK IN-SCHOOL BREAKFAST PROGRAM LAUNCH
The Northern Cape Department of Education today joins forces with the Basic Education Department led by the Deputy Minister, Dr Reginah Mhaule, sponsors Tiger Brands Foundation (TBF) and Kathu Solar Park (KSP) in launching of the In-School Breakfast Programme, held at Gaegake Primary School in Maruping Village in Kuruman, John Taolo Gaetsewe District.
The TBF and KSP are no strangers in terms of the education sector investment, through this 5 year long initiative 4 468 learners from 5 schools in the district will benefit by receiving daily, nutritious in -school breakfast . The other four primary schools are: GaeBankhara- Bodulong, Mahikaneng, Maruping, and Seupe. "Breakfast is the most important meal to start the day, this initiative will also help in eradicating learner absenteeism and late coming, meanwhile the most important aspect through this meal will be to improve learner attainment”, Deputy Minister explained.
